It began first in living rooms, then to an office building, then eventually leading up to where we are now. God has truly accomplished a great and needful work in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The Lord has grown and sustained our church over these last four years in ways that almost seem miraculous. The work of church planting isn’t easy. It has many challenges. But this exhausting work is rich in joy. Only the Lord can make this work both, gruelling and enjoyable at the same time!
We have a very close family at 116, the love that we have for one another is true gospel fellowship. The eldership at 116 consist now with only myself and brother Shaun Blankenship. Shaun has been working along side of me now for two years. Without this man and his relentless love for Christ and the church, 116 would have never survived.
There is so much more to the history of 116, so I won’t continue on, but know this, when Jesus says He will build His church and the gates of hell won’t prevail, He certainly means it.
This Sunday, we will baptizing two of our members. And celebrating our four year anniversary. We will also be sending off our worship leader and his family. (Brother Tim Jones and his wife Rochelle, and their adorable son Lathan.)
Please continue to pray for our church. Without your prayers, we would not be able to flourish as we have done.
With great love for you all,
Jeff Rose
